Z-listers update
Hi folks,
Just to let you know that the list of z-listers has now reached Seth’s blog. Seth however does not think that the term ‘z-lister’ is appropriate – maybe we could start a contest to find a new name? Or perhaps Seth would like to leave a comment and share his thoughts?
There also seems to be a lot of confusion over who started the z-list… the original list can be found on Mack Collier’s Viral Garden. It would certainly be interesting to find out how many bloggers copied and pasted the z-list onto their own blog.
I had 7 links a couple of days ago and now have 49. More importantly, a few people added me to their blogrolls and I discovered some interesting new blogs which is always good in terms of networking. Thank you Mack!

Lolly I love hearing stories from you guys about how your link counts have spiked, that was a big reason why I wanted to start this, to bring attention to you guys that deserve it. And the original ‘Z-List’ I posted back on 12-12 now has over 70 blogs linking to it. My guess is the list has appeared on several hundred blogs in various forms.
And I think Seth is a bit late to the party, the list was to feature ‘Z-Listers’, or bloggers that Technorati thinks don’t have that much ‘authority’, because they didn’t have enough links, again according to Technorati. This meme was a way to beat Technorati at its own game, and it seems to be working
Once again, Merry Christmas Lolly!

Ditto! And well done again Mack! It’s not so much about the number of links one might get but seeing how powerful the blogosphere can be! That’s why we love you

Hi – wandered over as a result of the Z list and link to my blog….so, the way this works is just copy the blogs? do the links still work then? (I blog but that’s because it’s typing not because I’m tech savvy!). Stayed a while to read a bit – nice blog! Nice meeting you!

Hi Tammy,
Yes the Z-list does work! I met some nice new bloggers and got more exposure – not such a bad deal I guess. Yes, you can just copy and paste the list and the hyperlinks should still work!
Happy blogging

Hi, just to say that I recently joined the z lister game and I am trying to visit all the sites listed. I saw your comment saying thank you on my blog.
I have a little doubt about the zlister: To make the game totally effective
should I visit an make a comment in all the blogs that are in the list?
Sorry but I have a short experience in blogging.

Hi Alex,
No, you don’t have to leave a comment on every single blog on the z-list. I personally left a comment on the blogs I liked. I guess you got the answer to your question in your comments: people will find your blog more easily on the www and Technorati thanks to the Z-list
Gracias

Bush and the Republicans were not protecting us on 9-11, and we aren’t a lot safer now. We may be more afraid due to george bush, but are we safer? Being fearful does not necessarily make one safer. Fear can cause people to hide and cower. What do you think? What is he doing to us, and what is he doing to the world?
Are we safer today than we were before?
We have lost friends and influenced no one. No wonder most of the world thinks we suck. Thanks to what george bush has done to our country during the past three years, we do!
