off the top of my head, how about:
tweetdeck – to group those you follow into manageable groups
tweetlater – autorespond to followers and delay posting

I’ve never heard of Tweetlater… will check it out

I like to think Moblog.net is a good twitter app – it autotwits anything you post, MMS/video/whatever, including Spinvox messages.

Oh yeah, one other trick with moblog.net is that because we send the subject first along with link to the post, you can direct your media at specific twitter users by just putting:
@username1 , @username2 etc in the subject line. When that post gets pinged to twitter it pings whoever you put in the subject.

TweetBeep (Twitter version of Google alerts) is my tool to get all the updates on web ethics and social media via Twitter – in one mail message. Handy – saves me time.

Not sure you’d exactly place that as a Twitter tool, but I’ve been using Twist to check out trends: http://twist.flaptor.com/

If you also use FriendFeed, here’s a new Twitter tool you may find useful: MySocialChatter.com
Simultaneously manage both Twitter and FriendFeed from the same browser window. Frames are adjustable and both sites refresh every 60 seconds.

I’d just like to add another twitter app to the mix. Check out feedalizr (http://www.feedalizr.com), it’s also an Adobe Air app. Has full Twitter client support and great filtering when your Twitter stream gets too noisy.
