I am sure you’re all familiar by now with the NHS’ advice against swine flu – catch it, bin it, kill it, and the hilarious swine flu dance:
The French on the other hand, are advising the population to use a tissue, or alternatively sneeze in their jumpers (yewwww!)

I like snogging better than sex (Snog – Soho shop)
Originally uploaded by Life in LDN
Fear not, I am not going completely loopy and randomly blogging about sex!
As I was walking around Soho last night, I found this intriguing artwork on a Soho shop. As I was in the middle of Soho (the gay quarter in [...]
Just found this old French advertisement on YouTube for Vandamme Pain d’epice… nostalgia, nostalgia! I bet all Frenchies are singing behind their computer screen!
Prosper sadly vanished from our screens years ago, but still remains the ultimate 1980s 4 o’clock snack (as we call it in France!)

Do you remember your first computer? I first laid my hands on a keyboard aged 12… We owned a Commodore 64 at a time where computers were luxury items…
Our faithful Commodore had a black and white screen, a keyboard without accents (not convenient when you’re trying to type something in French), a pre-historic version [...]
Et un petit article pour mes amis bloggeurs Français expatriés. La Nouvelle Star vous connaissez ? C’est un programme de télévison sur M6 genre the X-Factor…

Terms including ‘email’, ‘blog’ and ‘fast food’ should be banished from the French language… well apparently there are a full 65 pages of banned words on the [...]

Wow! I remember these too! I can’t remember what the English versions were called though, I inherited sticker books full of these from my brother when he grew out of them. I must have been very young, he’s like 8 years older than me. I’ll have get onto the rents to see if they’re lying around at home. Good find!
And in answer to your question… Pogs, Gogo’s, Goblins and numerous computer games!

Yeah, the Goblins!
I’d love to see a 1990s GameBoy with a colour screen. I still have one in working order back in France actually!

@David Law: The English versions were called “Garbage Pail Kids” – hilariously banned in our primary school and dubbed “Sick Cards” by the headmistress.
Ironic considering she was as close to an embodiment of pure evil as I have ever seen.
