Diesel ‘Dirty Thirty’
TweetDiesel turned 30 today, and generated a lot of buzz with the launch of their limited edition ‘Dirty Thirty’ denims.
Just 30,000 pairs were produced worldwide to be distributed between 160 Diesel stores, and sold for the dirty price of £30 in the UK or €30 in the rest of Europe – with the exchange rate, the Brits are once again being ripped off
I tried to pop to the Covent Garden store at lunch time, only to return empty handed… oh, well!
Happy birthday Diesel!

I went to the Diesel store today in Austin TX. They would only let you buy 2 pairs– but it had to be one mens size, and one womens size. ?? Very Heterocentric policy.
Why just a limit of 2? If you don’t want people to get two pairs for themselves, then make it 2 of different sizes.
I was disappointed with the policy– very odd.
I’m not certain if this was a global corporate policy, or just local.

I bough a pair in Denver , CO today, after waiting in a line of 150 people. The would only let you buy 1 pair. But I came back later on in the day, and someone had actually returned a pair. I bought them! So I had a pair of 31W and 32W. They also let you cut if you has a Diesel Cult email of the event. I found this out after an hour of waiting. My blackberry got me to the front of the line.

I got mine in San Francisco and nobody was allowed to buy more than 1 pair even if you got back in line.
