Help Google find the search results that YOU want
Has anyone noticed the voting button next to the search results on Google?
Looks like Google needs your help to sift through the tsunami of information available on the www. What are you waiting for? Go vote!
UPDATE: thanks to Robert for sending me the Techcrunch article about Google’s revamp which I missed last week as I was on holiday. Although I still like the concept of making Google more social, the new features will only work if Internet users leave worthwhile comments about the website they rate. Looking at Techcrunch’s comments, one can indeed question this revamp.
What do you think? Was Google really broken? Or was it just fine the way it was?

not sure I want to make searching that “interactive”

Have to say that the ‘interactive’ side leaves me cold. I’m also not liking the new clutter on the screen. They shouldn’t forget that a few years ago, one of the main reasons from people moving away from other search engines was Google’s clean, uncluttered look. I think they should be very careful with adding anything more to its results pages.

I like the idea … but it will be interesting to see where it goes next. What happens when our friends recommendations appear before the Google search terms? Really places a lot of power into the hands of our communities. Could also be the end of SEO as we know it

I use McAfee SiteAdvisor so those results don’t show when I search Google. McAfee protects me from dangerous sites, so I’m not going to remove it but I’d like to see the interactive voting at some point. Does it mean you can increase visitors to your site?
