Contagious Mag, recently published their Best of 2008 report.

As we’re almost in 2009,  I just thought I would highlight my personal favs of 2008:

1) The Obama Campaign – a truly amazing integrated Social Media Marketing campaign, with Obama being quite literally everywhere! I am slightly dissappointed to see that the Twittering stopped the day Obama was elected but the blog is still going strong... to be continued

2) The iPhone – although I wasn’t particularly keen on the iPhone when it was launched, I am now officially in love with its touch screen and numerous cool little apps. 3G phones are changing the way we use the Internet, and there a lot of potential for brands to launch cool apps to market their products.

3) Crowdsourcing – the power of collaboration to build products that we, consumers want! I think there’s a lot of potential here when it comes to challenging the iPhone…

4) The phenomenal growth of Twitter, up 422% in 12 months. Everyone is now using Twitter – you, me, politicians, brands and Stephen Fry. Any idea what the next big thing will be in 2009?

5) Cloud computing – although still early days, cloud computing will eventually revolutionise the way computers are built. One of personal favourites sites at the moment is zyb.com, a site that stores all your numbers online – pretty cool, huh? What are your personal favourites of 2008?

Wishing everyone all the best for 2009 – see you guys next year!
