Hi guys,

Lolly, a lot of iphone users have said they don't see the point, but seeing as there are no background tasks yet, SMS is they only push notification that you can get :)

Michael, we notice sometimes that the networks block or delay the messages we send. We activley working with the networks and our gateway ensure the highest deliverability as possible.

Thanks,
Paul.

That's weird because it's all working fine for me... Only had 5-minute delays on a couple of occasions - nothing serious.

Anyhow I am sure it's all valuable feedback to Twe2!

I'd love to agree Lolly but after your recommendation I tried it out and set it up just for direct messages. It was great! Then Twe2 stopped working a while back and when it did work, the texts were often delayed by a couple of hours. Had high hopes for this too after you mentioned it initially.

Paul - point taken!

It just seems to me that iPhone users have got used to using apps, and may not see a real benefit in signing up .

I just wanted to point out once again that I love Twe2 and I feel that it definitely improves the overall Twitter experience.

We don't think the iphone is much of a threat to the service.

After all we are pushing notifications to your phone, with the iphone twitter clients you activly have to open up an application and pull the tweets.

What will be interesting for the future of SMS in general is when the majority of mobile phones support PUSH notifcations (through twitter or any other service).

Thanks for the blog about twe2.
