Check out the new McDonald’s sign at Piccadilly Circus
Disclaimer: This is a slightly tweaked post I originally wrote for the Shiny Red Blog
The Shiny Red team has recently had a lot of fun supporting the re-launch of the McDonald’s sign at iconic London landmark, Piccadilly Circus.
The new sign is a brand new interactive concept, where people can take pictures of themselves interacting with fun images such as a bowler hat, an umbrella or a bouquet of flowers, but it will also feature seasonal signs to commemorate special occasions such as Father’s Day, Halloween, and major sporting events.
Check out the Shiny Red team’s pictures on Flickr, or alternatively become a fan of McDonald’s Piccadilly Circus on Facebook and add your photos and videos!
An estimated 1.1m people pass under the Piccadilly lights every week, so we hope to see more people sharing their snaps online.
I love the hammer! What’s your fav execution?

this is cool and so in keeping with the spirit of the city – people wanting to become part of the city’s backdrop. Around tower bridge there is the one spot where you can stand with the bridge in the background and you have tourists from everywhere just posing there for a few minutes before they can make way for a new set of people to stand there and smile. the last snapshot of people swaying in front of the thought blurb reminded me of just that ! And irrespective of which country you come from – everyone identifies with McDonald’s.

Hey Reshma,
I really like the new sign from a photo point of view. Tourists can make their own psotcard of London as a souvenir.
I am actually thinking of having a professional photo taken out there, so that I can print my own postcards
