MoMA – plan and share your museum experience with your friends
TweetThe Museum of Modern Art in New York is one of my fav art galleries in the world, and their new website is in my opinion, a game changer in terms of web design & web development.
MoMA redesigned its website earlier this year and added a blog, interactive content, and dynamic online galleries. The site is absolutely stunning if not a little slow at times due to obvious reasons.
To help visitors plan their visits, MoMA connects to a user’s Facebook profile, scans it, analyses it and matches the user’s preferences with the experiences currently offered at the museum.
MoMA’s use of Facebook Connect is very clever indeed; rather than creating a Facebook app/widget, MoMA used Facebook to power and personalise content.
Pretty cool, huh?
