Havana an exciting piece of news they’d like to share with you hence the blog post…

Havana Cultura, a global art initiative from Havana Club rum is launching the ‘Havana Twitter Treasure Hunt’ starting next week (Monday 19th October).

Using clues posted on Twitter, you will get the chance to virtually explore the city of Havana’s parks, hills, and crashing coast line and hang out in the neighbourhoods of famous Cuban directors and musicians on www.havana-cultura.com to find the clues.

The winner of the Twitter treasure hunt will win two VIP tickets to Gilles Peterson’s exclusive Havana Cultura album launch party (we had a listen at the album at #LBM last week, and it’s pretty awesome… trust me on that one!) in Paris on 26th November. The winner will travel to Paris with a friend via Eurostar and spend three nights in a hotel near the launch party venue . Pretty cool, huh?

The aim of the project is to give modern Cuban artists, from the city of Havana, a unique platform to showcase their work internationally and convey their true way of life. Each of the artists featured on www.havana-cultura.com introduce their favourite place in the vibrant city of Havana, to give visitors insight from the perspective of a true local. This competition is in a nutshell, a virtual tour of Havana powered by Twitter :)

How to take part in the Twitter hunt:
- Follow @_HavanaCultura_ on Twitter
- The treasure hunt will run for two weeks starting on Monday 19th October at 13pm and the last clue will be Tweeted on Friday 30th October at 5PM
- There are ten clues in total; two clues will be released twice daily – at 1pm and 5pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday – solved clues needs to be posted on Twitter using the hashtag #havanatreasurehunt
