		<description>I agree that bloggers &#039;buy&#039; into PRs and would suggest this is a symptom of the blogging mindset. Most bloggers are strongly motivated by the felt community aspects of the medium and, while there are those of us who also pay the bills through it, we remain part of - and energized by - the people we work with.

Those with a purely financial motivation in contacting bloggers should take heed of your advice and build relationship as well a business deals.</description>

I think from my experience in blogger enagement there is also an interesting aspect of social media itself - which relates to what you said about bringing value - sometimes it is also fun to engage/be enaged in a project targeting less influencial bloggers and giving them tools which help them increase their on-line presence, as long as they are passionate and well established in their own, smaller communities. It makes sense to me as a blogger too, as learning more about social media is value itself.</description>
