5 brilliant YouTube/Facebook takeovers
YouTube takeovers, I simply can’t get enough of them! Remember the Tipp-ex Bear saga? Whilst a video alone may struggle to get views, takeovers will get you eyeballs, shareability and the conversations you’re after.
AnimalPlanetTV are promoting their River Monster programme through this impressive takeover… and the videos views counter is on fire!
Doritos UK have put together a pretty cool visually appealing, celebrity packed YouTube channel. The icing on the cake for me is Professor Green’s 360 degrees / ‘3D reality’ music video filmed with Yellow Bird technology… On a slightly different note, Yellow Bird also happen to have the coolest URL ever! http://www.yellowbirdsdonthavewingsbuttheyflytomakeyouexperiencea3dreality.com/
Meanwhile, Jon Malkovich controls the elements on the Nespresso channel, a takeover in line with Nespresso’s series of popular series of advertisements. You can also remix the scenes, and create your own commercial via the channel.
I absolutely adore Desperados interactive video / YouTube takeover combo complete with Facebook integration. I am surprised they don’t have more views on their channel but I reckon it’s only a matter of time.
Last but certainly not least, The Incredibles invaded Facebook profiles (France) last year. You can also takeover Facebook profiles it seems. Pretty cool, huh?
