Taking the leap of faith… in nocte consilium
After a decade working in both offline and online marketing, I have decided to go back to university to complete my Master of Research in Marketing, which will hopefully lead me onto a PhD. It’s scary as I’ll be working full time whilst studying, but the time had come to shake things up! My research interests evolve around social media and consumer behaviour, human computer interaction, geolocation and mobile commerce, and I hope that my research will bridge the gap between the Academia and the professional marketing world.
From a professional perspective, I’ve been freelancing/contracting since March, which has been hugely rewarding; I recently joined the Greater London Authority as Web Manager (social, email and web) looking after various areas of the business, including Mayor of London presents, your one stop shop to find out about free events taking place in London during the Olympics and Paralympics, but also various aspects of Politics 2.0.
