Listerine’s ‘rapping chins’ YouTube takeover
I haven’t seen a good YouTube takeover in a while, and Listerine (as in the mouthwash), have recently come up with a really smart YouTube/Twitter campaign.
Listerine have created a series of videos where rapping (as in rap music) chins (as in the lowermost part of the face!) battle it out online. Simply select two rappers on their YouTube homepage, watch them fight in a good old rap battle and pick your winners. Viewers are also encouraged to come up with rapper names using the #BadForMyMouthRapper hashtag which may be used in future videos created.

The aim of the campaign is help young adults to reconsider what they put their in mouth. Listerine is not exactly the most conversational product, but people are engaging creatively! Nicely played Listerine.

Oh well…at least they are doing something creative…It is too bad we don’t see stuff like this as much. Social media is right there, under their nose…I guess people would find stuff like this a way of entertainment and forget it is actually a strategic campaign…I wish I could be entertained more with stuff like this…
