Jan 25th
I am sure you’ve all seen the lovely Sainsbury’s customer service letter that was doing the rounds in the social media world today. I’ve been doing a bit of digging around to try to understand how the story went viral; here’s my theory.
If you Google ‘Sainsbury’s Customer Service Letter’ you’ll find 420,000 search results; some are related to the Tiger Bread story, others aren’t. If you look at the date when the articles were posted, you’ll quickly find out that the Sainsbury’s Customer Service story in fact broke out in June 2011.
In June 2011, little Lily’s mum, blogged about the customer More >
Merry Christmas from #o2santa

A lovely initiative from O2 who were sending Christmas messages recorded by Santa to influencers today. The concept’s now new (think Old Spice) but hearing Santa speak French put a smile on my face.

Well played O2

Or does the content get lost ‘in translation’ amongst more engaging content?
I’ve been doing a fair bit of work with fashion bloggers lately and just thought I would share my latest blog crushes written by hugely talented bloggers.

It didn’t take long before that few lines persuaded me to crack on with this blog post. Well…it sounded easy but without the headline, the first or the final paragraph, the rest didn’t write itself. Thanks Stephen!
Still unsure on the headline, I am going to get started.

Oct 27th
Here is at long last, my first entry for the Bathroom Blogfest 2011 on how Topshop uses to Tumblr to ‘climb out’. I do promise I’ll put up a bathroom related post tomorrow for fun though! Here we go!
Brands have embraced social media as a means to ‘climb out’ and ‘hang out’ with their fans on social networks. Some brands do it well, others have had their fails… I’ve been in working in the social industry for a few years now, and I’ve seen the industry evolve over the years. But my biggest frustration in 2011, is that a lot More >
