Fred Perry wants your story
Mar 28th
My friend Matteo recently spotted an interesting Fred Perry social media campaign and being a huge fan of the brand, asked me if he could do a guest post about this initiative on my blog. We’re still in the middle of #bemyguest (check out my blog swap buddy, Michelle Chmielewski’s vlog right here), so I figured “why not, huh?”
The above photo is Matteo’s very own submission. Read his story here
I recently got an update from one of the few newsletters I enjoy receiving, with a very catchy subject: “Fred Perry – Tell Us Your Story – £5,000 Prize”. More >
Señor José Cuervo is on the look out for a Tequila Face… think you have what it takes?
Mar 9th
I was invited to Diageo’s Jose Cuervo Tequila open audition at Cargo last week, to celebrate the launch of their latest Tequila Face initiative. To get into the Mexican mood, we were each transformed into various fictional characters (hence the pics). I played Juanita Sanchez, a Tequila and Coke loving Mexican DJ
The one and only Señor José Cuervo has enlisted the help of Casting Director Vince Frank to find the nation’s perfect Tequila Face, the face you pull when doing Tequila shots… I have no doubt us Brits are pretty good at this!

Fancy going on a European road trip? Read on
Feb 22nd
We’ve been busy here at 90:10 working on the launch of the new Honda CR-Z Hybrid through Social Media, and our plan is to create a crowdsourced European Road Movie, featuring Internet users from the four corners of Europe! Pretty cool, huh?
We’re currently at the first stage of the campaign, where Internet users can submit their dream journey onto the Live Every Litre site. A committee will then choose 4-5 lucky winners in each country who’ll embark on the road trip of a lifetime driving the Honda CR-Z across Europe… the icing on the cake? The whole experience will be filmed by award More >
A year since Londoners danced; T-Mobile’s new advert
Jan 15th
2010 is already proving to be an interesting year in terms of Social Media; I clicked for the first time on a Facebook ad the other day, and I am now responding to a mass mail out from T-Mobile’s YouTube channel, which I subscribe to.
It’s exactly a year since Londoners danced at Liverpool Street station for T-Mobile. To celebrate this anniversary, T-Mobile have a special 3-minute commercial going on TV tonight on Channel 4 at 9.30pm, during Celebrity Big Brother.
The commercial features 1107 people from around the UK who joined Josh’s Band and recorded a song together. The song can be More >
French Art of Loving
Jan 2nd
I recently spotted an interesting campaign for French lingerie brand Aubade, which I thought would make a lovely case study on how to engage with bloggers.
To support the launch of their new (and really cool too!) French Art of Loving website, Aubade teased a few bloggers to death (quite literally!) and invited them to a saucy event in Central Paris.
The agency behind this campaign firstly tipped off the bloggers with this saucy video. The bloggers who wrote about the video where then Facebook befriended by the person who originally posted the video on YouTube and invited them to a ‘let’s see if More >
Best social media campaigns of 2009 (part 2)
Dec 26th
Thanks to everyone who re-tweeted my best social media campaigns of 2009 yesterday. Hope you guys are ready for some more!
Ongoing – Meet Zack, the teenager who woke up one day with girl parts…
A really weird social media campaign for Tampax (yes!!) by Leo Burnett in the USA. Even tampons can be marketed through social media!
Zack is an average teenager who wakes up one day with ‘girl parts’. Uncertain as to what to do, he decides to share his experiences via his blog and Twitter feed.
It’s a little weird at first, but his adventures are disgustingly addictive!
