I am a bit of a gadget girl and simply couldn’t live without my technology; they help me be more productive on a daily basis.
1) Macbook (13 inch in case you’re wondering) - this is probably very basic and cliche, but my Mac is my everything! It’s my TV, my sound system, my blogging tool, my life! If my flat was on fire and I only had time to rescue one thing, I would save my Mac.
2) Kindle – to all the sceptic out there, it’s just like a book; seriously! Plus you can upload your econsultancy ebooks on it and read them on the More >

A lovely initiative from O2 who were sending Christmas messages recorded by Santa to influencers today. The concept’s now new (think Old Spice) but hearing Santa speak French put a smile on my face.
Dear Santa, your accent is pretty good you know! Must have been all those years flying to France to deliver prezzies!

nRelate blog plugin – a new way to monetize your site

Over the last few years, brands have increasingly been attempting to engage with bloggers with various degrees of success. Some bloggers have landed book deals on the back of their blogs, others have teamed up with brands to being to market new products and services, whilst smaller bloggers live of advertising, affiliates or the occasional sponsored post (I am not a big fan of these but hey ho!)
If you’re trying to monetize your site, here’s a new exciting option worth giving a go.

If you work with bloggers, you will naturally be drawn to the larger sites, as your clients will want reach and ‘influence’. But larger sites, are not always the best fit for brands; although posts may be retweeted and shared more often than on smaller blogs, do these articles really influence consumers? Or does the content get lost ‘in translation’ amongst more engaging content?

Ryanair Italy puts Berlusconi on its homepage…

As the economic crisis grips Europe, it sadly appears that Italy is also in serious trouble financially. Italy is a country close to my heart and the situation is no laughing matter. But sometimes, you need to have a laugh, right? My good friend Sergio has just pointed me in the direction of Ryanair’s Italian homepage poking serious fun at Berlusconi.
The homepage reads: Dear Silvio, another occasion to escape with Ryanair. Single flights from €9.99
Daring and hilarious at the same time! I don’t think we would see anything quite like that in the UK!
