Life in Twitter Land – a collection of random tweets
Sep 10th
I seem to spend more and more time playing around with Twitter. Interstingly the Twitter experience keeps getting better and better as my number of followers increase. I just thought I would feature a few tweets that I either find interesting or that have made me chuckle…
I moaned about the ads on the new Facebook the other day and Iampennypops also agreed with me: they are very irritating and often badly targeted!
Google launched its own web-browser Chrome last week – despite a promising start and fairly good reviews, Chrome now seems to be going a little ‘loco’

Twitter is an awesome social media tool, terribly addictive yet so simple! There are dozens of Twitter tools around to spice your Twitter life up… I just thought I would share with you some of my fav tools and apps…
- Twitpic – if you are a Twirl user, you’ll be familiar with Twitpic…Twitpic lets you share photos via your Twitter stream. For those of you who got fed up with Twirl’s semi-permanent bugs, you can go to the Twitpic website and share your photos via the web.

… The Fail Whale? This HAS to be the icon of 2008 In fact I just wanted to make sure I had a Fail Whale on my blog as Twitter’s service seems to be improving.

As mentioned in my previous post, I was invited to my first Twitter Live Wine Tasting last night.
Our excellent host Robert McIntosh assisted by Andrew concocted a delicious 5-course meal worth a Michelin star! We were also given the opportunity to sample 5 Hugel & Fils white wines from the Alsace region:
- Gentil (aka Les Fleurs d’Alsace) 2006
- Pinot Blanc 2006
- Gewürztraminer 2005
- Riesling Jubilee 2004
- Gewürztraminer Vendage Tardive 2001
I prefer sweeter wines, and the Gewürztraminer 2005 was the winner in my eyes. I am now truly in love with Alsatian wines! I have included a short review of each wine on my Flickr stream, and we More >

Jul 1st
My blog friend C.B Whittemore recently tagged me in 8 more things, the social media meme with one question – what are 8 ways in which you’ve used social media?
1. My blog is my most important and exciting tool to date. I have not only met some wonderful people offline (Chris Brown, Reshma Anand, Organic Frog, Sandrine, Cedric, Steve, Annie Mole… apologies if I have forgotten anyone!) but blogging has also recently changed my life as I am just about to start my new role as a Social Media strategist.
2. Blogging has drastically changed my social media consumption – I created a web More >

I have just discovered that Plurk have now added a search feature allowing Plurkers to search for keywords in the Plurk-sphere. There is a little magnifying glass icon on the right hand-side corner of the timeline, click on it and you can search for whatever tickles your fancy!
I think the search engine represents a fantastic opportunity for brands [data mining] to see what people think about them, and could help with innovation, NPD or product improvements.
I also really liked the fact that Plurk seems to be available in different languages – this reminds me of the good old More >
